Mixed Company Troupe performs three of Sasha's one-act plays during each show. Each unique, and unrelated to one other, the plays are parsed out between dinner courses.
Sasha has been writing films, plays short stories and novels for the last 25 years.
Sasha's play, "Why Knot?" was performed as the centerpiece of his actual wedding ceremony. Since the wedding guests were not informed in advance of the theatrical underpinnings of the event, some had to be stopped from leaving when, "the wrong bride," came down the aisle to begin Act 1. The calamities that befall the first two of three marriages in this play, are resolved in Act 3, when Sasha ties the knot.
Pegged by enthusiasts as "Dinner Theater for the 21st Century," Lines A la Carte has fun plugging volunteer diners into Sasha's scripts, where they are fed lines live, and given stage directions as each story develops. The professional actor playing opposite the volunteer guarantees a lively performance.
A performing arts teacher during the preceding decade for Ann Arbor Public Schools, Sasha's experience provides a steady hand for volunteers as he guides them via earbud from his sound-proof booth.
